Chabad of Montecito was founded in 2022 by Rabbi Chaim and Mushkie Loschak based on the core teaching of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneersohn, of blessed memory, that every Jew is an integral and indispensable part of the Jewish people.
Chabad is a vibrant hub and center for Jews of all backgrounds in Montecito, dedicated to meeting the community’s spiritual and physical needs. Chabad's mission is to enrich Jewish life by sharing the warmth and joy of Judaism through meaningful education, cultural events, and traditional services, fostering connection and community.
People of all backgrounds live in Montecito to repose, reflect, connect, and rejuvenate. They come to Chabad of Montecito for the same reasons. No Jew in Montecito should feel lonely, detached from our heritage, or uncared for.
